Cookies

Our website does utilize cookies.  Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow it), enabling the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.  We use them to help us understand your preferences and site activity, leading to improved service and product offerings from us.  Cookies are also used to compile aggregated site traffic and interaction data so we can improve future site experience and tools.

We, along with our trusted partners, use cookies to:

  • Compile aggregated data about site traffic and interactions
  • Allow social media interactions from our website
  • To market select products and services from our affiliate partners to our audience

We use two categories of first-party cookies: Persistent and session cookies.  Persistent cookies help us to recognize you.  They are stored in your device between browser sessions, allowing us to remember your preferences and actions on multiple visits.  Session cookies expire at the end of your browser session, allowing us to link your actions during a unique browsing session.

In addition to the first-party cookies we set, the website also uses third-party cookies.  Third-party cookies are those set by others, allowing the third-party’s features or functionalities to be provided through our website.  The third parties who issue these cookies can recognize your device when it visits our website and certain other websites or services.  The service providers of third-party cookies have their own privacy policies and may use their cookies to target advertising to you.

Our website also utilizes Local Storage Objects, such as HTML5, to optimize screen presentation, video, other preference information, etc.

Prorsaconsulting.com uses Google Analytics and Wordpress.com Stats to help us understand how users engage with our website.  These services utilize predominantly first-party cookies to track user interactions and site traffic.  The information collected is compiled into a report to assist us in improving our website.  These reports show trends without personally identifying individual visitors.  Additionally, analytics for our online store traffic and sales are compiled by Payhip.com.

We or our trusted service providers currently set the following cookies on our website:

  • Strictly Necessary: These cookies and tracking technologies let you navigate our websites and use essential features. Without these technologies, we cannot deliver the core functionality of our sites, products, and services to you.

  • Functional: These cookies and tracking technologies provide certain services or remember settings that will improve your visit but are not essential to using our website. They may include personal information that you have disclosed to us.

  • Targeting or Advertising: These cookies and tracking technologies allow us to deliver content, including advertisements, relevant to your specific interests. This content may be offered on our website or through third-party websites or services.  They allow us to understand and improve the relevancy of our advertisements.  They may track personal information, including your IP address.

  • Social Media Cookies: These cookies are set by third-party social media channels and allow you to share what you’ve been doing on our website on social media.

Users may choose to have their computers warn them each time a cookie is sent.  Additionally, visitors may turn off all cookies to all or selected websites.  These actions can be taken by accessing the user’s browser settings.  Since every browser is different, users should consult their browser’s Help Menu to learn how to modify cookies settings.

If you choose to turn off cookies for our website, some of the features that make your site experience more efficient may not function properly.

Even with cookies enabled, visitors can opt out of Google Analytics tracking without affecting user experience on our website.  For more information about opting out of Google Analytics tracking across all the websites you visit, go to https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
